History of the Rogue Invitational

The 2023 Rogue Invitational is nearly here. It’s the fifth year of the event and we’re excited to bring in many of the top names in CrossFit, Strongman and more. Here’s a look back at how we got here.

The Beginning of Something Great

When the Rogue Invitational debuted on our own Columbus, Ohio campus back in the spring of 2019, it was primarily a CrossFit event, featuring a mix of the sport’s current standouts. This was Rogue’s first foray into running the show under our own banner, and it felt like the start of something great.

Defending champ Laura Horvath is on her way to the title defense, but 3x Invitational Champion Tia-Clair Toomey is also back in the field after a year off. On the men’s side, 2023 CrossFit Games champion Jeff Adler is among the favorites to stand atop the podium, while the Strongman battle will see Oleksii Novikov try to hold off the breakout star of the past year, Mitchell Hooper.
