My power lifting routine, 3 days a week, is 4 sets of 5 reps, with 2-3 minute breaks between each set and at 315lbs; which is why I prefer the Schiek 1100WS ultimate wrist support over traditional wrist wraps.
The fact that all you have to do is slip the supports over your hands; over your wrists and torque it down in order to do heavy bench pressing is exactly why I bought these wrist supports in the first place - ease of use.
Good quality, although the velcro is starting to fray/matted from heavy use. When lifting, I torque the supports on good and tight; when not in use, they are loosened for comfort. Try doing that same thing with a pair or wrist wraps.
The last thing anyone should be worrying about on heavy lifts is if you have proper gear, wrist supports in place while bench pressing heavy weights that are hanging around and over your head and neck. I like to minimize risk.
