Rogue S-2 Squat Stand 2.0

With 2x3” 11-gauge steel uprights, an adjustable fat/skinny pull-up bar, and a wide range of compatible accessories, the Rogue S-2 Squat Stand is more power rack than squat rack.

Built in Columbus, Ohio, the S-2 includes key innovations from the Rogue Infinity Series, including Westside hole spacing, 5/8” bolts and fasteners, and J-cups with protective UHMW plastic liners. We’ve also redesigned the base using the same bolted triangle plates used in the Monster Lite squat stands (rather than the original formed socket) to improve the overall stability of the unit.

The S-2 Squat Stand’s 92” height gives you ample space for pull-ups under an 8-foot ceiling, while a compact 48"x48" foot print leaves plenty of room for additions and customization. Compatible 2x3" accessories include Safety Spotter Arms, Rogue Landmines, and the Rogue Matador, among others.

No matter how you set it up, the S-2 Squat Stand is well suited to small home gyms and large-scale weight training facilities, alike, with easy transitions from squats to bench, floor press to pull-ups, and anything in-between. Use the column on the right to order the S-2 individually or as part of a custom package with a bench, bar, plates, etc. You can also explore the rest of the S-Series here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Setup for basement I bought the S-2 Stand last week, and have used it everyday since. The stand itself is sturdy and solid. I got a couple of the attachments (Landmine, Dip Bar & Spotter bars) and I couldn't be happier. To be honest I stumbled upon Rogue online after doing some research for a basement gym. I thought about getting something cheaper off amazon or from Dick's -but so glad I didn't. This will probably last a lifetime, I don't think the same could be said about the competition out there. I don't do cross-fit, just a gym rat looking to have something at home. This was perfect and recommend it to anyone considering buying it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the money!! After looking around the S2 is perfect for my home gym. I'm 5'11" and got the single pull up bar which is just right. If you are over 6' the S3 would be ideal if you have the height. Got the dip bar, spot arms for benching and plate storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable Quality The S-2 Squat rack is perfect for anyone who is looking to start or improve their home gym. The S-2 is ideal for the lifter whose focus is on the squat, bench press, and military press. Although the S-2 is not the cheapest squat rack of its type, its quality is unmatched at the price of $425. When I started looking for a squat rack there were a few criteria that had to be met. The squat rack had to be durable, have a small footprint, have a load bearing capacity of over 500 pounds, have a pull-up bar built into it, and be manufactured in America. The S-2 not only meets these requirements, but exceeds multiple of them. The S-2 is a quality, yet simple, squat rack without all the bells and whistles of other flashy squat racks. The S-2 is made entirely from steel, so it will last longer than cheaper quality squat racks. This is common among all Rogue Fitness squat racks. The small footprint allows for the S-2 to fit anywhere where an Olympic bar can. Its load bearing capacity can accommodate even the most advanced lifters. The pull-up bar at the top is a very underrated aspect of the S-2. Besides just for pull-ups, it is a great anchor point for any pull/pushdown band exercise. This also helps save time during circuit workouts because the pull-up bar is right at the squat rack. Arguably my favorite aspect of the S-2 (when comparing it to the S-1) is that it is easier and safer to rack the bar after a set. At the end of a tough set, most people are fatigued and are therefore less mentally sharp and coordinated. The S-2 allows you to lean forward, hit the vertical posts with the bar first, and then rest the bar down in the J-cups. If it were the S-1 model, you would have to carefully place the bar in the J-cups since there are no vertical posts. Although the S-2 is not the cheapest option of a squat rack and pull-up bar combo, it is at the top tier in quality and is well worth the slight increase in cost. It also is a little taller than smaller squat racks, but by having the pull-up bar in the squat rack it saves space in doorways where traditional home-gym ones go. Overall I would give the S-2 five out of five stars. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase and would recommend the S-2 to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from S-2 Squat Rack, Rogue Bumpers and Rogue Bar 2.0 I posted a written review below for my Manctuary. Here's a link to a review video I did about a month ago reviewing and detailing the items. If you're considering Rogue... you should stop considering and buy it. I've been using it now for months and it's all stood up to some pretty awesome abuse. I love it. Thanks for watching!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Start in Lifting I purchased this stand 18 months ago and haven't regretted it. It has been a perfect start for my home gym. I'm looking to upgrade to a Power Rack next year but will keep this thing for life. Super easy to assemble with only a few tools. With a few of the attachments I have everything I need at home in only a $425 package. Get the Dip bar with it and you really can't go wrong with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy Rogue and You'll NEVER Regret It! The Stand: FANTASTIC! Assembled by myself in about an hour. Basic tools, nothing fancy and it was rock solid. There's a HUGE advantage to buying something when the directions weren't written in China. This is MADE IN AMERICA by people that know their stuff and want this equipment to last you a lifetime. I'm 6 feet tall and with the pullup bar at the top I can perform all kipping/strict movements with ease. IT'S WORTH THE MONEY! About Me: I've been CrossFitting for 2 1/2 years and I'm a CFL1 Coach. All the equipment in our BOX is Rogue but I've tested a lot of other brands in box stores in the Phoenix area. I shopped around for MONTHS to find good deals/cheap equipment to build my home gym when I found out we were going to have a baby. I figured I'd be home more and didn't want to LOSE MY GAINS : ) After all that deliberation I had no choice but to chose the best in the industry. Other companies will have "packages" that may seem appealing but what I can guarantee you is that the quality of this equipment when you un-package it and build it will surpass your expectations. My MANCTUARY: I purchased the S2 squat rack with single pullup bar (GREAT for all variations of pullups), Rogue Bar 2.0, 350 lbs of Rogue bumpers, safety spotter arms and some gymnastic rings. I also got a hat and speed rope to get the 3 Ships Free Deal (the Bumpers were on special for that... saved me about $150 in shipping). I built my own lifting platform out of plywood and stall mats, bought an American flag, some chalk and started clangin' and bangin'. Total investment was about a year's worth of CrossFit membership... for equipment that will last me a LIFETIME. If you're ever in Northern Arizona come to CrossFit Prescott Valley. We ALWAYS have a good time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rugged & Sturdy This is one rugged and sturdy piece of American made metal! It's Been a couple years since I purchased this Squat Stand. Wanted to put it through the paces before reviewing. I purchased this Rack for Squats, Benching, Pressing, etc. I've been lifting weights since 1977, and through the years (and many gyms) I've made mental notes of the best equipment. For all you young guys out there here's a bit of advice: Buy the best (or near to it), buy American when you can, but first and foremost buy quality products. This rack does NOT disappoint. I also purchased a lot of bells and whistles with it: The Base weight plate holders, Pull-up bar, Safety arms, Dip Bar, and basic bench. Every piece of the accessories are equally as rugged. Pins to attach the accessories are enormous and steel. This is a high quality rig! The ONLY part of this rack that cannot be used as advertised is the Pull-up bar. It provides additional stability, but that's about it. I'm 6'3" and there's no way the height of the bar, and width of the rack is suitable for a tall/big guy. Just purchase and install a straight bar in the ceiling for wide grip pull ups. However, I did not even expect this pull-up bar/option to work for me... and does not detract from the EXCELLENT score I gave the Rack. The bench is a bit firm (no soft padding), but heavy, sturdy, high quality. I've since purchased the Adjustable Split Bench and use it exclusively for benching (the original flat bench I purchased is now used for other exercises). If you're ONLY going to purchase one bench to press with, then pay the extra and get the Adjustable Bench. It comes assembled (as did the original) and man... It's a beast! Heavy and sturdy as heck! Total quality. The gap between seat and back support is so close (as advertised) you won't even know you're laying prone on a split bench. The adjustments for seat and back check all the boxes for Military press, to incline, to flat press. No matter your age, these quality Rouge (made in the USA) products are something you'll be able to hand down to your kids... And them to their kids.
