Background of the Heavy Muay Thai Jump Rope:
Many boxers and martial artists in Southeast Asia have long favored a heavier jump rope for helping to build upper body strength, stamina, and explosive power. Athletes who regularly use standard speed ropes can also benefit from varying their resistance levels by incorporating a Thai-Style rope into their training. Just be warned, while double-unders aren’t impossible, they’re also not recommended.
The Thai-Style Jump Rope 3.0 weighs just under 14 oz. and features 1.25" diameter handles. Due to the PVC construction of the cable, the rope is best used on a rubber or non-abrasive surface.

Amazing rope for an amazing workout
I just started Muay Thai and wanted a rope. This was one of the first that popped up under Muay Thai jump rope on Google and I saw it was from “Rogue” and said “Why not, their stuff is usually awesome”… definitely didn’t disappoint! Only issue is I am super short. Lol no complaints though, just a little more work to use it, which makes it even better if a workout. Will definitely recommend this to friends or anyone getting into Muay Thai.

The added weight and heft on this rope give a much different workout than lighter, standard ones. I rotate this one in and out of a 25 minute set and love it. The added benefit to the upper body is a real plus. Even your forearms will thank you with increased strength and tone.

This rope is great. The weight is in the rope not the handles. You can adjust the length of the rope. I purchased the 10 foot because I prefer my rope length between a 10 foot and a 9 foot. Will get another form my work gym.
