The Rogue S-4 2.0 sets a new standard for independent squat stands, combining the strength and stability of two 7-gauge steel H-bases with the efficiency of a new bolt-together, triangle-plate design. Each unit includes a pair of 72” Infinity uprights with hole spacing in the Westside pattern through the bench zone—so users can specifically set up the included J-cups at 1” increments.

Indy squat racks are often preferred by Olympic lifters for their small footprint and low profile design. True to form, the new S-4 Stand takes up very little room on a platform (each base has just a 26” x 22” footprint) and can easily be moved by one person.

As another new edition with Version 2.0, the bases of the S-4 are now equipped with rubber feet to protect flooring and improve the unit’s overall stability. In the testing phase, the S-4 easily took on 500LB squats and 300LB+ jerks with no issues.

Here’s how August Schmidt, a decorated weightlifting coach and CrossFit competitor, summed up the S-4: "Rock solid, which is unusual for indys. They are the most stable indy stands I've ever seen."

Second to none
We all know rogue equipment is pricey, but you truly get what you pay for. I’ve always like the concept of separate squat stand holders but everything on the market is cheap and unstable. When I got the box it was definitely sturdy it came in four boxes insulation was a breeze and started working out immediately. Yes they are heavy pieces individually but they are sturdy they do not move when you squat and bench press put the barbell back on it this is my second rogue product my first one was the Rogue Echo Bike. Honestly what I love the most about it is it really has a small footprint yes they’re tall but it is a squat stand But you can condense them move them and put them where you like

Safe and stable!
Pros: Very stable -- I loaded 450lbs at squat height without any problems Versatile for a its size -- Squats, bench variations even pull-ups. Attach bands to it and you can strech Durable - the powder coat finish on it is excellent I would imagine this unit would decades Cons: Heavier than other squat stands but that's because it's 11 gage Might tip backwards if you slam the bar into the j-cups You need a spotter or room to dump the bar if you fail 1 rep maxes!

Sturdy, high quality
I 100% don't regret buying this squat stand As other reviewers have said, it's very sturdy. It's a huge upgrade from the light, cheap, flimsy stands I had before. The downside to this sturdiness is the sheer weight of each stand, which makes them harder to move than the lighter stands I used to use, and that cancels out some of the benefit. Why this stand is awesome: --Truly a space saving and very cost efficient choice. --the independent stands allow flexibility in where you position them and how much space you have between uprights. I can, for example, move them close together to rack my curl bar, or I can move them to the wall if I'm using the platform for lifts from the floor. --You *can* put Infinity spotter arms on these for that critical safety net when benching by yourself. The danger is that the stand can tip over, of course, but I've tested them up to 350 lbs at the ENDS of the arms before that happens--they hold even more as you move in toward the uprights. --I'm a huge fan of the Westside spacing on the uprights. It allows you to get the J cups and spotters at just the right spot when benching. Considerations before you buy: --Obviously, there's no built-in pull up bar, so that is just something to account for if you're trying to build up your home gym on a budget. --As I said above, the stands are very heavy, so they're not especially easy to move around (and the reason to get indies is so you can move them around). I wish there were casters on the bases to help move them. I'd install some, but there are no holes on the base.

Amazing squat stand
Honestly, I was sceptical of August Schmidt’s comment about them being the ‘most stable indies’… However, upon using them for the first time, the only thing I could think about was how awesome and stable they were! Came in perfect condition, easy to assemble and sturdy as hell! Had some issues with the J-cups, but Rogue fixed those for me very quickly! Their customer service is really world-class!

They are much bigger and sturdier than they seem in pictures!
The S-4 Squat Stand goes well with my Rogue Ohio Power Bar - Black Zinc!

Awesome Squat Stand
I purchased this stand several weeks ago and it exceeds my expectations. The Rogue S-4 Squat Stand is a top quality product. Stability is excellent for each independant stand, and all the features are top notched. This stand is my go to tool for bench work, squats, & arm workouts.

high quality, solid and very stable
I'm using these stands primarily for bench presses. For that they are fantastic. I have confidence in their stability as I rack the weights at the end of a set.
