Rogue RML-490 Power Rack

Starting with the same Westside-inspired design as the popular Rogue R-4 Power Rack, the RML-490 utilizes 3x3” 11-Gauge Steel uprights—making it among the strongest and sturdiest power racks in the industry. Built in Columbus, Ohio with US steel or US & CAN steel, this highly customizable Monster Lite rack is equipped to serve professional strength training facilities, collegiate weight rooms, military training bases, and small garage gyms, alike.

The RML-490 includes Westside hole spacing, 0.625" hardware, and a set each of Monster Lite J-cups, pin/pipe safeties, and band pegs. Both a 43” Fat/Skinny Pull-Up and 43” Single Skinny Pull-Up Bar also come standard.

With just a 53" x 53" standard footprint, the RML-490 Power Rack is a compact unit well suited to custom additions. Popular accessories include the Monster Lite Matador, Monster Lite Safety Spotter Arms, and Long Plate Storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great investment I purchased my RML - 490 5 months ago. Being new to building a home gym, I was apprehensive about making such a significant investment on a rack. I researched many of the competitors and quickly realized that I would be better off spending the money upfront versus being frustrated by poor quality and craftsmanship. I’ve been happy with my purchase and I like the fact that with the bottom crossmember it can be a freestanding rack. If you are looking for a durable, reliable, well built power rack. Look no further. I spent hours researching and finally decided to pull the trigger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for an overbuilt rack. I’ve had this rack for about 9 months now and it’s held up great. The monster-lite line isn’t engineered to accommodate as many bells and whistles/niceties as the monster line, but this is a tremendous rack for what you’re paying for. I put two weight posts on each end to weigh the rack down and store some weights. Seems to be very stable while only preventing me from doing floor press with safeties (not the end of the world). Overall great rack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lives up to its reputation! There were a number of questions I had leading up to the purchase of a rack. Knowing Rogue's reputation for quality hardware I was less concerned about the structure and finish, but still had questions about size, height, features, and stability. I can easily say that this rack has met every one of my requirements. In terms of size, the RML-490 provide plenty of flexibility in the number and types of activities one can perform in and around the rack. It does consume a fair footprint though. Make sure to not only consider the space the rack takes up, but also the expanded area around it to load the barbell, perform band work, mount additional equipment, etc. Ideally, the rack will have at least 30 or more inches on 3 sides, and obviously the "front" will need several feet of available space. In terms of height, I am 5'8" and the 90" rack height works perfectly for me. With regard to stability, I do not currently have the rack bolted down and its sitting directly on 3/4" stall mats. It's also in my garage, so expectedly there is some unevenness in the floor level. As such, one foot is sitting slightly high. For a temporary solution I was simply able to slide a metal shim underneath. However, even before doing that I had no concern with stability even when performing kipping pull ups. And I should note, that I do not have any weights mounted or stored on the rack. Lastly, there is so much flexibility with this rack. I cannot recommend it enough!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Sturdy and Amazing Craftsmanship Had for about a month, can’t say enough have amazing this rack is. Very well built and extremely tough. So many options for this and have placed another order for more toys. The hardware alone for this rack is tougher than most competitors out there. Took about an hour to put together and doesn’t budge once in place. There are other options out there that might ship sooner but waiting for anything Rogue makes is well worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Love it, and after seeing how nice it was I bought a rogue bar too. It was easy to assemble and this thing feels sturdy and solid to the extreme. I do wish somewhere I could find how much weight the bar can safely hold though.
