Product Description

The Rogue Ohio Deadlift Bar is one of our finest, precision-engineered power bars to date, generating a higher amount of flex ideal for deadlifting. Machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio, the ODB features a 190,000 PSI shaft with a comparatively thin diameter (27MM) and longer overall length (90.50" is just within most powerlifting federation standards). This combination creates a bar that’s both easier to grip and designed for increased whip/flex when pulling. For many power lifters, that greater flex means being able to pull from a higher point before the plates break off the floor, potentially increasing the amount of weight that can be lifted in the process.

Rogue Ohio Deadlift Bar - Black Zinc

The Rogue Ohio Deadlift Bar is one of our finest, precision-engineered power bars to date, generating a higher amount of flex ideal for deadlifting. Machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio, the ODB features a 190,000 PSI shaft with a comparatively thin diameter (27MM) and longer overall length (90.50" is just within most powerlifting federation standards). For many power lifters, that greater flex means being able to pull from a higher point before the plates break off the floor, potentially increasing the amount of weight that can be lifted in the process.

Like all Rogue bushing bars, the Ohio Deadlift Bar includes sleeves with a quality snap ring construction—far superior to the cheaply produced bolt-and-pin style sleeves of some other brands. The powerlifting knurl marks on this bar are a bit deeper / more aggressive than our Ohio Power Bar, but machined in the same pattern. There is no center knurl.

F Scale™

The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.

Oxidation Rate

The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.

Please Note: Like any fine piece of machined steel, a bare steel barbell will require some upkeep. Occasionally brushing the bar down with 3-in-1 oil or WD-40 will create a beautiful patina look. This is how bars were made for decades and it really does produce an unmatched feel.

Great equipment, great service!
I bought this two months ago as a first piece of my home gym. I've trained with different kinds of bars and when it comes to deadlift, this one is a paragon. The whip is excellent and the combination of a slightly smaller diameter and aggressive knurling gets you that excellent grip! Would recommend this bar to anyone who wants to deadlift and doesn't compete in power lifting. Rogue's service is impeccable. I lost my tracking number and confirmation and I immediately got a new one following my request. The shipping sidn't take too long and wasn't too expensive. Great equipment, great service!

What a Bar!
What a knurling! It embosses the deep knurling directly into your hands. Good for sumo deadlifts as you´re able to stand wider

Hurts so GOOD!
I've seen many lifting blogs and comments stating that a person doesn't *need* a deadlift bar if they have a sub-500 deadlift as he or she won't get the full benefit of that early sexy bend lifting the plates when the slack gets taken out, and that's probably true. So, did this middle-aged recreational lifter with a 375lb max only 4 years into serious training NEED a deadlift bar? Probably not. BUT! I am so dang glad I bought her anyway. It's just...different pulling with a deadlift bar. The knurling on this lovely thing bites, and my hook grip thumbs have come to hate me, but I can't get enough. I also own an OHP, and was using that bar to do all SBD along with accessory work, and I didn't think I would notice the difference in diameter. I was wrong. The smaller diameter means the ability to double overhand more of my warm-ups. What's more, I've noticed that you do see some bend and slack taking out with lower weight (I've noticed it at 225lbs, for sure) when you really get establish pre-tension at the bottom of the pull. So, ultimately, I bought a deadlift bar because I love to deadlift. Do you love to deadlift? Then you should buy this bar. You won't be disappointed.
