What Sets the echo bike apart

1

Max Stability & A Smoother Ride

Weighing in at 127 LBS, the Echo Bike is not the wobbling breed of exercise bike. Its reinforced steel construction gives it the rigidity and balance to help eliminate sways and bumps during even max output bursts, and the fan’s steady response delivers a uniquely consistent, smooth riding experience. For added stability, we’ve included rubber leveling feet under each base tube. These feet adapt to your flooring and provide added “stick,” helping to level the bike even if it’s not on a level surface.

2

LCD Console

The mounted LCD console measures 6.375" x 6.375" and features a crystal clear, high contrast display. Athletes can select or create a wide range of modes, including Intervals (20/10, 10/20 or a custom Work/Rest interval), Target (choose a goal Time, Distance or Calories and the console will count down based on your selection), and Heart Rate Tracking (please note that a heart rate transmitter is required to send data, but is not included). The console runs on two AA batteries, which are included.

3

Quality Construction

The Echo Bike is built with a range of durable steel tubing (2" x 3", 1.25" x 3", and 1.625" x 3.125") finished in a texture black powdercoat. The adjustable padded seat locks into 8 different height settings and 5 front-to-back settings, and the 1.5” diameter rubber-grip handles are welded directly to the bike’s arms for added rigidity. A steel step plate is provided along with knurled 4.5” long rotating foot pegs and metal pedals. The fan itself is a belt-driven, precision steel blade.

4

Part of a Complete Workout

Whether you train out of a garage gym or run your own large-scale facility, the Echo Bike makes a logical companion piece to some of the other top endurance machines in the industry, as well as essential Rogue conditioning products like Rogue Medballs, the SR-1 Speed Rope, and the Wise-Crack AbMat.

5

Easy Assembly + Portability

Assembly is required to set-up the Echo Bike, but all necessary tools and black hardware are included standard with your order, along with easy step-by-step guidelines. While the fully constructed bike is a beast, we’ve included a set of 1" wide polyurethane wheels at the front of the unit, allowing it to be rolled around the gym or stored out of the way with ease.

Awesome Bike
I had a few issues putting it together properly; however, customer service was quick and responsive and helped with get the issue resolved. Once it was put together properly the bike is smooth and amazing. I use it almost every day for my cardio. I wish the seat was a little comfortable for longer sessions (60-90 mins), but I may upgrade. Overall I really love the bike and highly recommend it.

Built Like a beast, power numbers frustrating
Having used 3 different orders of Echo bikes for a total of 4 different bikes and also having used the Assault Bike and newer model Airdyne here is what I believe is a fair review: Pros: I think the construction of the bike is very solid - the thing is sturdy and smooth as they come. It IS a harder bike to keep at speed that requires every pedal to be intentional (although it IS a *smooth* pedal) especially compared to the other 2 big fan bikes on the market (which who doesn’t want that!). It is a bike that doesn’t make the work any easier on you. Seat is very comfortable and never an issue. As far as assembly? 10x easier than the Airdyne and takes probably 30 minutes the first time and 20 minutes for the next bike once you get the hang of it. Very nicely put together already in the box to make assembly fast and intuitive. Cons: The screen power reading leaves a lot to be desired. The power meter for all 3 separate orders of bikes I have used have a delayed power reading which is very frustrating for power work that is a minute or less and especially sprint work. This is a huge concern for me since 90% of the work I do on the Echo with me and my clients is a big effort for HIIT. For example, say you start pedaling at a very high intensity almost maybe even all out sprint… The screen will take 5-6 seconds to begin to read that max speed and will go up slowly like 80 watts, 190 watts, 270 watts etc even though you are wellll past that power number. This DOES effect your final avg report when a workout is over! Also, the advantage of the Airdyne bike is the current model gives an instant and accurate reading every split second of your current power number (however the drawback of the Airdyne is that in intervals settings the avg power number oddly includes the “rest” period of 0 watts doing nothing!). When pedaling on the Echo at a sustainable speed it goes up in units of 9-11 watts. So cruising at 400 watts will randomly go to a reading of say 409w then down to 390w and *only* those 3 numbers will be displayed from that 20watt window. If you are at 401w or 402w etc it wouldn’t show those numbers, ever. The problem is this makes progress very hard to see and makes you even question the accuracy of the average watts report and the end of a workout. For example, I had an athlete do a 6 x :30s sprint with 1:30 rest in the “Custom” button setting. 3 separate occasions have read 676watts. Now, what are the chances he did the EXACT same power number on 3 separate occasions? Again, my experience, is especially the higher your power number goes it only registers around one number per every 10 watts and easily gets “stuck” on a number. So it may read 400 watts, 416 watts, 425 watts, 438 watts etc with no other numbers possibly able to be shown on the screen for that window. Also, it is sometimes a bit annoying that the “Target Time” button only goes in intervals of :30 secs and doesn’t have a way to program a :10-:20s sprint for “Target Time” and instead starts a minimum of :30. I also would be interested in an additional “neutral” handle setting on the bike for a different angle of upper body engagement. All in all, I would recommend the bike because it is so well built and you know you are getting an amazing benefit from using the bike. If Rogue could fix the power readings to a more valid, consistent and instantly updated number it would be a home run.

My favorite piece of equipment in my gym.
Got this for my home gym to change things up on cardio day aside from the treadmill. Worth every penny! assembly is easy and fast, build is strong and sturdy. Initially it was hard and it left me exhausted fairly quick, but I ride it everyday so it get easie, and becomes fun and addictive. Great cardio, fun bike. The only criticism I have with it is the seat, it could be more comfortable, or rogue could sell a gel, or some soft seat cover to compliment the ergonomics of it making it more comfortable. That way new owners as well as previous owners who want a softer seat could upgrade it. Either way Im very happy with it.
