Rogue Dumbbell Bumpers

Designed for use with our Loadable Dumbbells, Rogue’s cylindrical Dumbbell Bumpers come in six weight increments (10LB, 15LB, 25LB, 35LB, 45LB, 55LB)—each measuring the same 230MM in diameter. This unique patent-pending design allows athletes to load on more weight, customized to their training level, while still maintaining the compact look and feel of a traditional dumbbell.

While Rogue’s DB-10 and DB-15 Loadable Dumbbells are compatible with other Olympic plate options, our specialized Dumbbell Bumpers offer a new opportunity for a more centralized weight distribution and easier handling. Each Dumbbell Plate is also built to the same quality as our full-size Rogue Color Training Plates, with a tested Shore A durometer of 88, along with a chrome-plated insert and bright color finish. The weight tolerance is +/- 1%, and all plates include exclusive Rogue branding.

More Weight, Same Diameter

There is no better way to get the most out of your Rogue Loadable Dumbbell than with the addition of these plates. The cylinder shape of the Rogue Dumbbell Bumper means that each weight increment, from 10LB up to 55LB, has the same 230MM diameter (roughly 9"), creating a much more compact and natural-feeling dumbbell. The three largest plates (35LB, 45LB, and 55LB) are a universal 150MM  in thickness, as well. The center inserts are cut-out to fit over the Loadable Dumbbell collar for a secure fit.

Quality Rogue Construction

Rogue Dumbbell Bumpers are essentially condensed versions of our standard full-size Rogue Color Training Plates. The quality rubber construction and 88 durometer—paired with a solid chrome-plated insert—ensure long-term durability. Color finishes are used in the same pattern as our traditional plates (Black / Green / Yellow / Blue / Red) for easy on-sight recognition, and the exclusive branding includes the Rogue logo above and below the collar opening.

So versatile and useful
I bought these (six sets of 10s two sets of 15s) along with a DB-15 to get dumbbells up to 105 (or more if I can fit a change plate on the end), but I find myself using these all the time with a full Olympic bar. It’s so useful to have easy to manipulate 15 and 10 pound plates to pop on, especially when doing incremental warm-ups. Quality is, of course, terrific, and they work great for dumbbell presses and farmer walks, and so on. But the versatility really makes the value for me.

Squat time. Farmer walks with the DB-15 later.

You definitely get what you pay for
Love these. Started out with the 35’s on two 15 handles and I am so pleased with them. Any loads or dumbbell will be harder to kick up than a hex but way more versatile. Purely my two cents but I’d buy them again hands down.

Lots of uses
Aside from being the perfect size for loadable dumbbell handles, these dumbbell bumpers are great for landmine barbell exercises, they can provide you more range of motion when used for deadlifts…. And if you don’t have a jack and need to switch weights they slide right on no hassles. They are very multi purpose.

Amazing quality & versatile! Choose weights wisely
Ordered my first DB-15 loadable dumbbell and a few of these bumpers to test weight configurations and have been very pleased. With 1 pair of 15s, three pairs of 10s, one pair of 5lb and 2.5lb change plates, I can go from 15lb (bare barbell) to 115lb and everything between with as small as 5lb increments. I’ve attached a few photos of the configuration with 115lb and 105lb, both next to a 55lb hex dumbbell for comparison. These plates are also awesome for using with an EZ curl bar! Just ordered a second DB-15 and plates so I have a pair.

Beyond 85 lbs no progression
I bought these a few months ago, high quality as always, exactly as described to use for progression in a smaller footprint by using 2.5 and 5 lb change plates with these dumbbell bumpers. Unfortunately I just discovered that once you get to 85 lbs (35+35+DB-15), there is no longer any room on the barbell for change plates. So from 85 you can only jump to 105 (45+45+DB-15) and then 125 (55+55+DB-15). Really disappointing! Not very useful beyond this point, because most people working progressions will not be able to jump 20 lbs on a dumbbell

Great quality
I’m happy to have switched from regular 15s bumpers to these small bumpers. They’re built well and look beautiful. The size adds versatility to my barbell workouts and make progressive loading simple.

Pretty vs functional
First let me say that everything I have in my gym is Rogue Fitness, I buy everything from them and 95% of their products do not miss. This set however, is more of a showcase set than a truly functional dumbbell set. Very limited on the kinds of exercises you can really do with them, for example it is impossible to do heavy (relative to the person) flat, incline, or decline bench, as you cannot place the dumbbells on your knees to kick them off when you are ready to start the exercise. Another one is if you are trying to do seated arm curls, the dumbbells are too long and it hits the bench (again relative to the person using it), but these are common exercises that dumbbells are used for and it is not very useful.
