Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the small garage My garage has an 8 foot ceiling height which made me put a lot of thought into my rack selection. If you want to be able to do pull-ups in your rack and not want to smash your head into the ceiling, I reccomend the bolt together r-3 over the regular one because it gives you the ability to adjust the pull-up bar height. I am 6'1 with longer than average length arms. With my 8 foot ceiling and my rack on top of a .75" stall mat, I have my pull-up bar bolted one hole space down from the standard height. This makes it high enough so my knees don't touch the ground, but also low enough that just my hair touches the ceiling at the absolute highest part of a chin-up. The photos attached show me hanging from the bar in case I didn't explain well. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. In 4 months, there has not been a single issue. The safety bars are pretty clumsy to adjust so I opted to use the spotter arms instead for quick adjustments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 30" version review My GF and I purchased the 30" R3 BT during Black Friday 2017. The quality is great, everything fits together perfect, all pieces were included, no damage, the welds finished nicely, etc etc. Basically everything positive in other reviews holds true. I'll try and mention things I never read in other reviews, especially regarding the 30" model. We decided to buy the Bolt Together version in order to get the 30" upgrade. We ALMOST got the Monster Lite (RML-390F) version instead with the 2 long feet (also 30")...but originally planned to have this thing directly on concrete. Unfortunately our concrete is very uneven with many cracks and the 2 long feet seemed difficult to level. One with 4 separate feet and shims seemed the best option, so we started looking at the regular R3. Since my GF and I sometimes lift at the same time, we wanted to be able to have a set up where we could both be using loaded/racked barbells. We considered getting the regular welded R3 and putting it in the middle of the garage and using both sides...but that cut off pullup height due to beams and a garage door motor. It also cut off our Olympic Lifting space. So....we spent a few days doing complex math...and figured out there was probably enough room for two people to lift at once on this 30" version while against a wall, and bought it. Once received, we put it together no problem. Easier with two, but one could do it. It lifts and moves around fairly easy with only two people. It's very easy to set upright, then back horizontal again if needed. We tested the two squatting at a time theory and IT WORKS! She can squat inside the rack with a loaded bar, and I can have mine set up on the opposite side, outside the uprights. If we roll my bar to the outer edge of the J-Cups, it's plenty of room if she's careful and takes a small step. It's 18" between plates. See attached pic. All in all, I am very happy with this rack. I lag bolted it to my platform. We made the platform because the floor was so cracked and uneven. I cut and laid multiple layers of roofing felt (tar paper) to even it out best I could, then built the platform on top. The platform is 2 layers of 5/8" OSB, and one layer of 3/4" AC plywood/stall mats...for 2" total thickness. It's 8'x10' rectangle. I used twelve 2.5" x 1/2" lag bolts. The feet of this rack are 3/8" thick, and I used 2x 1/8" thick washers per bolt, so the 2.5" lag bolts go almost all the way through the 2" platform. I followed advice on another R3 review and assembled the rack, leaving all bolts loose, bolted down the feet first, then tightened up all cross members last. I would recommend doing the opposite...tightening all cross members down before bolting to ground. My platform has about a 1/16" convex bow in it, in the middle of the rack, and moves when stepped on. I theorize that when bolting the cross members together after the feet were fastened down, it pulled the feet together slightly, creating an uplift or warping of the platform? Seems, crazy, but possible. Also, the uprights measure slightly different distances from each other, depending where you measure (up high or down low). I think I could have avoided these issues if I bolted the entire rack together nice and tight before bolting to ground/platform. Regardless, 12 lag bolts into a 2" platform has this thing feeling solid. No worries there in my opinion, and I aggressively slam my bars into the J cups. With a flat floor, I'd consider getting the RML-390F instead, just because it's a bit more modular, easier to deal with, and about the same price. If you want 4 feet and 30", the R3 BT is the one. All in all, a badass rack, worth the upgrade to the 30" especially if sharing with a homie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid I received the rack pretty quickly considering the season, ~2.5 weeks. The set up was easy and this rack feels really solid. I bought this because I change cities a lot and was hoping that the tear down and set up would be relatively painless. So far, so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First class piece of kit! Had a few questions before I bought this rack. All were answered extremely quickly. Very impressed with the customer service. As for the rack itself, it is extremely well built and heavy duty. I've been using this kit for 3 weeks now and am very pleased with it. It was very easy to put together and when bolted to the floor is completely stable. Only small crticism is that it would be useful to have some kind of numbering system on the holes for the safeties and J hooks. Overall though this is a fantastic piece of kit and well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Rack Purchased this rack for my home gym. Couldn't have been simpler/easier to get into the basement and assemble for use the same day. Extremely solid once bolted to the floor, and plenty of room to move around in. Shipping was quick and easy and customer service is unbeatable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product With Excellent Customer Service We just finished installing this in our garage and couldn't be happier. Not only is it easy to assemble and built really solidly, once we bolted it to our garage floor I am very confident it will last for as long as we can still use it. Best of all, Rogue's customer service was absolutely exceptional! I accidentally ordered an extra set of safety pins, and they quickly responded with a question to see if I needed that or I wanted a refund. They refunded my order immediately and I couldn't believe how awesome their customer service was. That gives me even more confidence in the product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Rack I can't say enough good things about this rack. It's built like a tank. I'm so glad I bought this over the welded version of the R-3 because of the 6 extra inches of interior depth and for the ability to physically add to the rack's footprint later down the road. I bolted this boy down to 3 total layers of 3/4" material with 3/8 2.5" lag screws. It has virtually no sway in any direction. My suggestion is to put the rack together without tightening down all the bolts, then mount it to your surface fully tightened through the feet, then load a weighted barbell into the rack and tighten down all the remaining bolts on the rack. Keep in mind you will need a 15/16" socket to bolt the 3/8" screws. I love the westside hole spacing. I'm a shorter guy who is seemingly always in between the holes on uprights when setting up in an optimal bench position. The pin and pipe system is what it is. It's not ideal, and it can be annoying lining it up without numbers, but it gets the job done. I'll be upgrading soon to some custom swing-in safeties or some other solution like the straps or even spotter arms. You will no be disappointed in this rack. 30" interior depth is PLENTY of room to do everything you need to. Have fun!
