Protect your shins

Rope climbs, dead lifts, cleans and snatches can be hard on your shins (so hard that some athletes develop staph infections). Built with UV protective 5mm of hi-tech neoprene and breathable 10-24 Lycra, Rock Guards protect and serve. They’re light-weight and slightly compressive, yet offer the ultimate in protection.

Rock Guards are great for:

  • Rope climbs
  • Dead-lifts
  • Cleans and snatches
  • Box Jumps

New Features:

  • Impact resistive 5MM Neoprene fronts fused to a compressive lycra sleeve.
  • Back zip makes them easy to get on.
  • Foot stirrup and silicone grips keep them in place

Sizing Chart

  • If your calves are < 38CM in circumference at the widest point and your height is 155CM (5') or less and therefore the length of your leg (tibial tuberosity to the ankle bone is generally 30cm or less) use the small size.
  • If your calves are < 38CM in circumference at the widest point use the medium size.
  • If your calves are > 38CM in circumference at the widest point use the large / extra large size

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it Been using for about a month on deadlifts. Haven’t used for rope climbs yet. What once was bloody shins is now pure bliss. They stay in place (even though I don’t use the stirrups). Apparently my shins are taller than the sleeves. If I stretch the stirrups to the max I still have several inches below the knee exposed. Skip the stirrups and pull all the way up, works great. Zipper is pretty pointless, but very happy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stirrups Failed After First Use The shine guards work well, and do the job. However, after the first use one of the stirrups failed and came apart at the stitching. Also, the side zipper is useless, meaning it does not stay zipped. My opinion, do away with the zippers and sewn stirrups and just have an integrated stirrups.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for rope climbs These were good for rope climbs which I bought them for. Good slip for the ride down. The zipper is a little award though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable but a design flaw These are really comfortable and stay in place. However I tend to get burns on my calf on one leg and the front on the other. These only have padding and tough material on the front. So i have to wear one backwards and the other one forward or else the mesh on the back would tear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must for rope climbs and box jumps This isn't my second pair, beyond protecting from rope rashes, these protect you shins from box jump scrapes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great idea, execution could be better The concept and design of the Rock Guards are excellent...they protect the shins during deadlifts VERY well and are pretty easy to put on and take off. Unfortunately, the sewing leaves quite a bit to be desired, particularly the elastic bands that go underneath the feet. I have had to carefully re-sew the elastic bands back on to the shin guards. If this part of the design was a bit more robustly engineered, you'd get a 5 out of 5 stars from me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed Got these to help with deadlifts. Tired of bleeding shins and these have eliminated that problem. Well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My shins are now protected! Every training with rope climbs = injured shins. But now it's over with Rock Guards. Today I had a great workout with rope climbs and cleans and my shins are totally OK :)
