Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great fit But I would have appreciated more cushioning in the midsole.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rear heel slippage... Shoes are nice & look great. Problem is the inner heel in them has trouble holding my foot into the shoe. I couldn’t use these to run in at all without the shoes coming off my feet. Ok for weight training but the heel issue kinda sucks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good! I bought these a month ago and so far I am loving them. For comparison, I've had the metcon 1 and 3, and the nano 3, 4 and 5. Looks: what drew me initially to this shoe were the really cool looks, to be honest. I loved how the shoe came a little bit higher up into the ankle. I've already gotten a lot of compliments on my shoes at the gym, which I was surprised about. Everyone wears metcon, nanos or No-Bull (prior to this shoe I wore metcon 3s), so I was surprised when multiple people came up to me to ask what kind of shoe I was wearing ("wait, are THOSE the metcon 4s?! They look sweet!")... My only complaint is that I wished they came in more colors. Fit: I was nervous buying these with all the reviews that talk about "heel slip." It was definitely noticeable when I first put the shoe on, and I can see how Nike tried to help make it better with a heel cup pad. The pad works, but isn't perfect. So far ive done every crossfit movement in these except running and the very minor heel slippage hasn't been a problem. I was nervous for box jumps or double unders but these worked great. The shoe fits quite well, and is true to size (I wear a size 12 in all the previous shoes listed and I got a size 12 in these). They are really easy to slip on and off, which I like because I'm too lazy to re tie my shoes, and they stay snug on my feet. The laces are able to tighten the shoe further if needed, despite it looking like they might just be on the shoe for decoration Performance: these have outperformed all of my other shoes previously mentioned in all lifts. The midfoot and heel feel really stable and I was actually able to appreciate the extra 3mm heel drop over the metcon 3s (these have a 6mm drop and the metcon 3s have a 3mm drop, I think). I've felt really stable in the bottom of all of my lifts and find that I'm less reliant on switching to my oly lifting shoes for every strength cycle. (I still prefer my oly shoes for heavy squats, snatches, cleans, etc, but this is a nice middle ground) The only thing I haven't done in them yet is running, mostly because it just hadn't been programmed in any of our workouts at our gym in the last month (still 30 degrees outside). I've done a few very short 400m laps for warm ups and they worked fine, but I don't think I would choose these for anything longer than a couple of miles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nike can do better First I have to speak about the Rogue Ground shipping! It was so oganized and arrived just on time. About the shoe, I tried it for a short 1K run and it was really bad. However, it was good enough for a sprint. Heel slippage is REAL even though it disappears just a little when you tighten the lace but then it leaves you with some slight pain around the foot neck which is still annoying. For jumping and double unders they have been doing well and for lifting they're stable but you cannot make out in them. I have been using Metcon 3s and this shoe is certainly a downgrade. If you're buying it for the looks, it does look great and could be good training shoes day in and day out if you have another shoe. But if it's the first time to buy a crossfit shoe, this is a NO NO!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The "heel slip" is blown way out of proportion. If you're like me, you where/are hesitant to purchase this shoe based on the negative feature of the "heel slip". I went to a local store to try on my original Metcon size and a half size down. I will admit there was a little bit of a heel slip in my current size; switched to an 11, from a normal 11.5 and experienced very very little to no slip at all. The top of the shoe fits like a glove; no compressed toe area as the material is quite giving - I could likely workout in this shoe with no laces to be honest. Not to mention, they are EXTREMELY comfortable! A couple things to keep in mind when you're buying/looking at this shoe: 1) A firm, stable surface type sole/bottom will slip very slightly no matter what, especially since it is not broken it yet. 2) Consider a half size down with DSX flyknit 2. I have worn these shoes for over a week now performing the open workouts as well as heavy oly and barbell movements feeling very secure, finding no heel slip at all. I personally thought the negative stigma of the heel slip with this shoe was blown out of proportion after wearing this show for a week now. This shoe is a beaut, alright. Can't wait for more colors to drop soon! Hope this helped you out with your decision.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable metcons This metcons fit great but I had to go a half size down from my usauall size of shoe. They hug your feet I really like how they fit. There’s a slight heel slip on them when doing sleep push. On the running I’ve only ran 200 meter sprints on them and they can hang. They are very comfortable.. Like I said just go a half size down and you’ll be good to go.
