Nike Free X Metcon 2 - Men's
Black / White

By combining the key elements of the Nike Free running shoe with the Metcon cross-training shoe, the Nike Free X Metcon 2 offers the best of both worlds for the dynamic athlete.

Lightweight, durable fabric and deep grooves along the outsole enable omni-directional flexibility and comfortable breathability for the runner, gymnast, martial artist, etc. At the same time, the use of abrasion-resistant rubber wraps, a lock-in midfoot cage, and a foam midsole ensure much needed stability and cushioning for the weightlifter, CrossFitter, rock climber, etc. The result is an all-purpose athletic shoe that’s equipped equally for the track, the weight room, the WOD, and more.

Specifications:

  • Men’s Cross-training hybrid athletic shoe
  • Textured rubber wraps up the midfoot for durability during rope exercises
  • Deep flex grooves along outsole
  • Lightweight, durable fabric in high-wear portions of shoe
  • Foam Midsole with Firmer Carrier
  • Midfoot Cage locks foots comfortably in place without restricting movement
  • Partial Inner Sleeve for Sock-Like Fit

Nike Free X Metcon 2 - Men's is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good mix! Good shoe for running and lifting. The new ones have Velcro straps rather than laces so I’d definitely go with those since the top of the shoe flexes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from noisy I had version one and I loved them. I liked the look of these even more and when the first pair wore out was excited to purchase these. Once rec'd I was initially happy, loved the look and the feel but once on hated them. For whatever reason their noisy. I've read about this with Nikes but the problem isn't within the insole. It seems to have everything to do with the laces and the plastic. Every time my foot flexes with a step there it is. It's very noticeable and irritating to the point I don't wear them anymore.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good soles for Carries/Deads etc. Not nuts about the laces, but I removed them and just slip these on. I like not love them. Great support for floor lifts and farmer carries.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfortable shoes, but they look better online I expected these shoes to be black from the picture but they're teal and dont look good with blue jeans. I also bought these to replace a pair of black shoes I have the squeak and these shoes squeak a lot more than the shoes I bought them to replace.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome gym shoes! The perfect happy medium between the Metcon's- which are great but tend to be on the heavy/stiff side, and the Free's- which are also great but a little too flimsy for WODs/weightlifting. These are the Goldilocks of fitness shoes. Very comfortable, lightweight, and aesthetically pleasing. I feel solid during heavy squats, and graceful during tall box jumps. The lacing style makes theme easy to slip on and off, yet still have a secure fit. Great shoe!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for lifting. Not so much for running I bought these about 4 weeks ago and they’re great when I lift on leg day. Squats, lunges, deadlifts, all are great with these shoes. When running, I feel like I’m running barefoot. It’s very flat and rough on your feet. The underneath of my feet have been beaten to he’ll with these shoes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from bad laces so i bought them and immediate i had to change the laces that they have. the laces are bad material and all the time they are unpacking. so during a WOD expect to stop a couple of time if you do running or squats to tie your laces. overall the shoe is good, they are a bit narrow but still manage to do the WOD. if you get them on a discount price makes sens otherwise choose something else like NoBull or Flywire from Nike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall great gym shoe Im a casual lifter that lifts for aesthetics and overall fitness. I decided to try this shoe beacuse my regular shoes weren't very stable for squats or deadlifts, but being a regular lifter that doesn't compete i wanted to get a shoe i can also do cardio in. So i settled on the free metcon, and i will say this is a great shoe for squats and deads and cardio for the casual gym goer and im sure its great for crossfit or whatever
