Monster Lite Sandwich J-Cups Set

Tested at more than 1,000 LBS, our Monster Lite Sandwich J-Cups have 3.5" depth and lock around two sides of the upright—increasing the structural integrity and reducing the risk of an athlete jarring a cup loose when racking the bar from below.

A UHMW plastic core sits in the center of the "sandwich" to keep the barbell as safe as the person using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changer! Up until now I have been using the standard j-cups that came with my Rogue folding rack. They get the job done ok but the sandwhich j-cups are leaps and bounds better. Because of the width of the rack, you do not get much room on each side of the uprights and as such I felt like I had to be careful while re-racking the bar. There were several times that I clanked the wider part of the bar sleeves off of the outside of the rack with thebold j-cups. Because the sandwhich cups are much more narrow, you get about an extra inch on each side so itxs almost impossible to miss while rezracking the bar. The other thing that helps is that the plastic that the bar rests on protrudes outward so that even if you are really off while re-racking the bar, you cannot bang the wide part of the sleeves off the flat, back part of the j-cup. As you can see in the pictures, there is a gap that will not allow you to hit metal on metal. These have really helped me with benching as I feel like I can add more weight and not have to worry about missing while re-racking. They just make it safer since you can just throw the bar back and not miss even if you tried. As others have said on here, they are also really nice for having the plastic on the underside as well to protect your bar. The standard cups do not have plastic on the lip or underneath so I unfortunately put a few dings in my bar. I wish I had these to start, but I'm glad I finnaly got a set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Buy, very stable!! Very sturdy and reliable. Keep your bars looking good and can take a good bashing when your push the bar back in your rack on that last "one more rep"!! :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It COULD have been an excellent J-Cup.. The UHMW on the J-Cups are perfect to protect your barbell. The clearance on the J-Cups for e.a. squats are also excellent (especially when having the 20kg Ohio Powerbar with the RML Powerrack). However, they do swing a lot when centering the barbell, EVEN with an empty bar. But not only when centering it, this also occurs sometimes when re-racking the bar. Some say that swaying occurs with every J-Cup when centering the bar, but the amount of 'swaying' is significantly more on these J-Cups compared to my standard Monster Lite ones. If I switch those J-Cups from sides, they will either sway out or in (depending on which side you place them). If you pay almost 200 euros (incl shipping) for these, you expect them to be perfect, but unfortunately that is not the case. That is why I have returned them. Does that suprise me? Actually not. If you consider this from a physics point of view: the moment/lever arm is larger in the sandwhich J-Cups compared to the standard (the length is larger from the rackpin to the point where the bar lies on the cups). Meaning that you have you apply less force to move these around. Also considering the fact that there is NO UHMW plastic on the back of these J-Cups (in contrast to the Sandwhich Monster J-Cups) which also contritubtes to the issue. What also could help, is applying a pin (same as on the Rogue Matador) at the bottom of the J-Cup. But there is no space to drill an extra hole. So I hope that Rogue takes this info into account in order to make a perfect pair of Sandwhich Monster Lite 2.0. J-Cup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picked up two pairs, perfect quality Bought two pairs during MBF to use with my new RML 490. Protects the bar very well. Solid build. I think you could drop these off a high-rise and they would be damaged at all. Racking and unracking the bar is very easy on these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent but should come as standard The J cups are wonderful and definitely an upgrade on the pair you get with the monster lite rack. My only grip would be these should really come as standard if you are paying the best part of €1,000 on a rack. I would have preferred to have paid more initially than to have ordered these at a later date.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality I bought these last month and they are a great upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sandwich J Cups This is my third set of these hooks. I have them at various points on my rack, so I only need to move a bar to change between bench, squat and press. These sit solid on the rack uprights, and if you don’t want to scuff up your nice bar over time with a heavy or the odd miss timed re-rack, these are stand out the best! Don’t get me wrong, the standard hooks do the job, but seriously, as somebody else has said before, for a manufacturer that prides itself on quality, these hooks should be the base standard with any rack.
