Product Description

Developed by Animalhouse Fitness, MonkeyFeet is a patented, ratchet-based shoe attachment uniquely designed to hold a standard dumbbell, up to 160 LBS in weight. This innovation allows athletes to lift DBs with their feet just as they would with their hands, opening up dozens of leg training movements (leg extensions, high knees, hamstring curls, raises, donkey kicks, etc.) without the need of expensive machines.

Sold as singles or as a pair, MonkeyFeet work interchangeably on the left and right foot, and they are equipped to fit most shoe sizes. Each 1.2 LB attachment is constructed from high-end materials and incorporates ratchet technology borrowed from the action sports world, keeping the dumbbell secured below the heel for optimal comfort and freedom of motion. Just fold, clamp, and ratchet to secure the DB, then get your work in. Leg Day can now move from the gym to the park, home, work . . . MonkeyFeet’s portability puts no limits on where you train.

Monkey Feet? More like Bees Knees!
I bought a pair of monkey feet to use in my gym as a substitute for some of the equipment we don’t have or can’t fit in the space (a leg extension or hamstring curl machine, for instance). They’ve been great in that capacity, but they’re also versatile as hell in a whole bunch of other capacities, and can contribute to workouts in a bunch of different ways. The only downside is the cost, which may prove prohibitive to some people. But for that price you great a very-well made piece of equipment that’s really worthwhile.

I was excited about this product until it broke on the third use. Good concept but did not last.

Funky Monkey
Well built and designed product to add to the home gym. My wife and I have used it for over a month exclusively for leg extensions and standing hamstring curls. The price point could be lower, but considering the equipment it replaces, I call this a win overall.

Monkey Feet Overall Grading
Hip Flexor strength/power training: A+ Leg extensions (Quadriceps) : A- Leg Curls (Hamstrings): A Glute: A Anterior Tibialis (the main reason why I purchased this tool): B- Not 100% because of how weight is manipulated, a lot of weight must be handled unorthodoxly.

Good Idea - Need Bigger Sizes
MonkeyFeet are pretty cool, but the overall size is limiting to people with smaller shoes/feet. If you wear bigger shoes or have large feet, these might not work. I wear size 11 and if I am using Nike Metcons 7's, which I usually use to workout, I have to change shoes to wear the MonkeyFeet properly. The buckle system is ok, but I would like to see a BOA system used instead. The buckle system is more old school. Doing exercises with these though is very good and it makes working on hip flexors much easier than many other devices.
