MobilityWOD Stick

Look, we hear you. Lugging a barbell around in your back pack to mobilize your janky tissues just isn't practical. Moreover, we know that explaining away that barbell in your living room during parties gets old. Yet, some times nothing else gets to the source of your tacked down sliding surfaces like a good ole chunk of beautifully handcrafted (dare we say Artisan) barbell.

That's why we've created the MobilityWOD Stick. First of all, it's gorgeous. Second of all you know it works. And nothing screams responsible, mobile, dedicated, and legit athlete like a piece of hand crafted metal alloy in the middle of your quads (in the middle of your living room).

We know the TSA is gonna hate it. But they don't squat anyways. The MobilityWOD stick is the next level-hand held, one way ticket to PR-town. Prop it up on a couple of books and it's like you've got your favorite barbell mobs with the portability of lax ball. And it'll look great next to your mid-century modern couch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile and portable The main reason I ordered the mobility stick was so that I could carry it around. See I spend an hour on the train on the way to work in an office. On days when the train is not so crowded, I can whip out the stick and release the quads, fore arms, calves, etc. I will admit that people look and wonder, but whatever. I also use it in the office when I get a moment or so. I bought the cradle with the stick, which I was not blown away with. Mainly because I can use the bigger supernova to massage the legs and hips when at home. The stick itself though is relatively awesome, but not perfect. With the cradle, I would say the only thing I couldn’t hit would be the back and maybe the pecs. Still it works for what I wanted, which was being portable, and useable in an environment where I was sitting. I would say it is a good compliment, but it is not the tool that makes other products obsolete.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Knurled 16" & Cradle This product is great, but as said by others the knurled stick does not spin well in the cradle.. however, you can easily spin it in the cradle with your hands, allowing you tack down and work on your lower extremities pretty well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 16" Knurled Mobility Stick I recieved the cradle and the 16" Knurled Stick today, I tried rolling my guads, hamstring, and calves only to find out that the 16" Knurled Stick does not roll when your on top of it. When I didn't have my body weight on the 16" Knurled Stick it rolls when I spin it with my hand but not when I try to roll a body part with full bodyweight. I think that the w inches from both ends should be smooth so that the 16" Knurled Stick to work well. As of right now I can't use the cradle and the 16" Knurled Stick together. I have to get some 2×4 and hope the 16" knurled doesn't roll off the 2×4's.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Knurled Stick Doesn't Work Well with Cradle I bought both sticks and the cradle, and I really love the concept. But because the knurling goes all the way to edge of the stick, it doesn't work as well with the cradle as the slick stick. The knurled stick doesn't spin well in the cradle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love the 30" stick Love the 30" stick using doubled up 2x4's (instead of books) as the cradle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unparalleled For not that much money, you can achieve some high quality smashing work in the comfort of your home, especially on triceps, quads and calves. However, if I drop it or if it rolls off any contraption I set up (stacked books, between two chairs, yoga blocks), it will probably leave a large dent in the floor. The cradle is necessary, it's been announced and I can't wait for it to go on sale (this week? right now?) to complete this set up. Hopefully, it won't be more expensive than the stick itself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great mobility tool, could use one improvement I brought all three for various mobility uses and they have all been awesome! The one improvement or suggestion I have is to make a cradle similar to the Battlestar that will hold the 16" sticks for use similar to the Battlestars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs to work with Battlestar Cradle / X-wings The idea of the MWOD Stick is extremely simple and very effective. The weight of the stick allows you to get decent mobility work without applying much pressure other than that is applied by the weight of the stick itself. I got the 16" slick stick and have been able to do everything with it that I imagine you could do with the knurled stick or 30" stick. As always, the craftsmanship of the stick is beyond expectations, which is always the norm for any Rogue-made product. I own every other piece of the MWOD-brand mobility collection and have been extremely pleased with all of it. This is the only piece out of the MWOD line that I would give three stars to, solely based on the fact that it cannot be utilized with the battlestar cradle or x-wing handles. If a version of the stick was made to fit the cradle, this product would receive 5 stars. I've seen that you can elevate the stick by placing either end on stacks of books, however, having small stacks of books available at all times takes away from the ability to mobilize almost anywhere with minimal accessories. Additionally, it's extremely easy to roll the stick off the edge of the books if you are mobilizing bigger areas like the lats or quads. Please make this compatible with the battlestar cradle and x-wing handles. It's a tough call, but I probably wouldn't recommend this product until the compatibility issue is addressed.
