HR-2 Half Rack Conversion Kit
Add Functionality & Storage Space to Your S-Series or Monster Lite Squat Stand

The HR-2 Half Rack Conversion Kit provides everything needed to upgrade your existing stand-alone squat stand to a half rack—giving you more spotting options and plate storage space to work with. The kit is compatible exclusively with the following Rogue units:

Regardless of which stand you wish to upgrade, the complete conversion kit will include all of the following: (2) 70" Monster Lite Uprights, (2) 17” Half Rack Crossmembers, (2) Triangle Plates for connecting the back uprights, and all the hardware required for set-up (finished in Bright Zinc). These simple add-ons instantly expand a squat rack’s versatility, including the ability to perform rack pulls and use safety spotters for bench work.

Important: The HR-2 is strictly a conversion kit and not a full, stand-alone rack. It is compatible ONLY with the Rogue squat stands listed above, and should NOT be used with other units.

Beautiful setup
Purchased the HR-2 conversion kit with 90 inch stick pair to convert SML1 to HR-2 half rack. Indeed a very beautiful set up. Reduces the swaying and adds a lot of functionality. Purchased the fat pull-up bar and XML-43 crossmember separately to connect the rear posts. Already teaching my 14 year old daughter band assisted pull-ups and she loves it!

Great addition!
Used it with the 70” monster lite stand and got an extra crossmember and its essentially a short half rack. Super sturdy and fantastic quality

Well made but poor design
This rack is very solidly made but poorly designed. The way this attaches to the squat stand it limits how high up you can places the J cups. I am 6’4” tall and when I squat I can’t place the J cups high enough. If they just made the uprights taller the problem would be solved. This is a common problem I see with Rogue gear, well built but the designs are all off just a little.

Excellent Addition
I bought this to add to my SML-2 Squat rack, could not be happier, I now have a dedicated squat station and a BP/OHP station. The modular design of the Rogue equipment is definitely a plus.

SML-1 converted to HR-2
I already had the Rogue SML-1 squat stand with the 70" uprights. I converted it to the HR-2 by swapping the 70" uprights to the back and the HR-2 90" uprights on the front. I did have to pay separately for the pull-up bar. Also grabbed the Matador Lite. The main reason I converted my SML-1 to HR-2 is that I wanted a legit pull-up bar and to reduce the shifting and swaying between the SML-1 uprights.

Highly recommend for SML1-2!
Great add on for an SML-2 rack for stability and those working with tight space. I have this in my garage and fits perfect! The Monster light matador is a great add on although the rack will rock slightly even with the weight plates on each side.

Great quality!
After being out of stock for a long time because of Covid I finally got it and it was definitely worth the wait. I have the SML-1 squat rack and I needed somewhere to store my plates however I have a tight space so I didn't have room for a plate tree. So someone recommended that I could turn my SML-1 into a HR-2 even though it is not stated on the product page. It says that it only works with SML-2 and SML-3. Setting it up was no problem at all and it is very sturdy. As you can see I bought 6 plate posts which still look great even though some reviews say that they quickly get scratched. I bought the X-431 pull up bar to keep the rack sturdy and I have mounted only one of the holes with screws because of my ceiling height and it works fine. I have also bought the Stabilizer Kit just to be sure (it is not on the picture). Great product and can only recommend it for all with SML racks.
