Donnie Thompson Casual Bowtie

Developed by powerlifting legend Donnie Thompson and Spud Inc., the Casual Bowtie is a simple accessory for everyday life, helping to counteract the slouched posture that often develops when working at a computer, driving, or using a cell phone. Made from a softer material than the Thompson Formal Bowtie, this design is optimized for wearing over long periods of time as you go about your day. The webbing harness is light and comfortable and doesn’t encumber movement. It works by subtly encouraging sustained upright posture, easing tension on the muscles behind the shoulders and also applying light compression to the bicep tendons.

By wearing the Casual Bowtie on a regular basis, the user can create a sense of muscle memory, as the brain will start instructing better posture long after the bowtie is removed. This can have a huge impact on reducing the problems of shoulder pain and tight pecs, and limiting the risk of more serious injuries down the road.

The Donnie Thompson Casual Bowtie is available in a range of sizes (see chart below). You can also track your package each step of the way using the Rogue Shipping Tracker.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Helps with posture, but it is TIGHT! Bought this to the size chart and it was WAAAAAAY too tight. I actually couldn't get it off on my own and had to ask for help. I ordered a size larger, which is more comfortable, but still VERY tight. It's a little hard to get off still. The bands are a little too thick and cut into my arms a bit. I can see how it will help with creating better posture, but honestly, it's not the easiest thing to maneuver around in, so I don't wear it as often as I should.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective Takes some getting used to due to binding under the arms, helps if you have someone pull it down in back occasionally. Does the job it was designed to do, aid in posture correction.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! Bought a few weeks ago, wear it a lot during the day walking the dog or doing cardio at the gym, it took a bit to get used to, but do feel over time it can help aid in posture.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from just a posture harness among others! I have a posture harness from another brand before, the spud bowtie is an improvement over that since it have much wider straps. It will not dig into skin but provide an even pressure against pectoral muscles and traps. still it makes it a bit bulky. and the straps on front and back makes it not wearable under clothing, I am thinking about cutting them off. In the video they present it as a super invention - its not! you could literarily tie a knee wrap the same way with the same results. as they present it its almost ridiculous. but as a posture harness its works fine, it gives the back muscles some relaxation and a nice stretch of the front as well. A bit to pricy and they are small in size I had to change to a larger. still I do recommend it since other brands are way to thin and weak.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Straps are uncomfortable Straps that go under the arm are way to thick and wide very uncomfortable wear. Also no instructions on how long you should wear. Other than that great concept.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just works Is this thing super comfortable. Absolutely not. However it has helped pull my shoulders back and improve my posture and shoulder mobility. It has also helped with my Bursitis.
