James Hobart

Massachusetts native James Hobart, aka “The Baby Faced Killer,” is a two-time podium finisher in Northeast Regionals and a member of the 2015 and 2016 CrossFit Games team champions, CrossFit Mayhem Freedom. He is a former Affiliate Cup Champion, as well, with seven total Games appearances to his credit.

Hobart skied competitively and played soccer and lacrosse in high school. In 2007, he was introduced to CrossFit and found that his diverse skill set and nonstop motor were well suited to the unique physical and mental demands of the sport.

After 10 years, James stepped away from competition this past summer, contributing instead as a media analyst during the 2017 Games. It remains to be seen if a comeback is in the cards, but Hobart’s legacy is certainly already safe among his fans and peers alike.
