AbMat Hip Thrust Pad

The AbMat Hip Thrust Pad is specifically designed to address the unique safety and stability requirements of the hip thrust movement. If you’ve been using makeshift solutions like rolled mats or neck pads for this purpose up to now, it’s high time to upgrade.

Manufactured in the USA and available here with exclusive Rogue branding, this patent-pending design features multi-layered well technology that creates a more even distribution of the bar’s weight and better protects the pelvis in the process. The flexibility of the foam pad also results in a more comfortable hinge and thrust for the user and greater overall stability, as the pad snugly pinches the bar between the hip and thigh through each rep.

Each AbMat Hip Thrust Pad measures 18" x 9" x 1.75" and includes a black Cordura outer to protect the padding on both sides. The top of the pad has a harder surface to take the bulk of the pressure and weight of the bar, while the bottom side has considerably more give and softness for the athlete’s comfort.

Poor Design
I purchased this recently and tried it out but was very disappointed. The mat is to slippery that my Ohio bar just moves all over the place, not safe! I would just buy a piece of foam from a craft shop. I do not reccomend this product. I can still use it as a kneeling pad.

Better than average
great for the first few weeks after it is losing its stability. Good under a belt but would avoid using them on hip trusts with a bar.

Best option for hip thrusts
This pad is amazing for hip thrusts. It supports the weight across my hips and I don't have to worry about bruising any more. Can't recommend this pad enough. Just use it logo side up and you're good to go

Everyone doing hipthrusts should have THIS
I have been lucky enough to use this pad regular at my gym (I am in Germany). Let me tell you, I have used everything in an attempt to find the optimal padding over the years. The average rolls might be ok at a lower weight, but once you go high up, it becomes painful. Not with this pad. It is big enough to spread the weight evenly across your hip, not having you feel a painful pressure against the hip-bones (I suffered, a LOT). At the same time it's small enough so you stay in control, balancing out the bar just perfectly. You can focus entirely on your exercise with this (as it should be!) without struggling around on suboptimal other solutions while doing hipthrusts (and we ladies know - the thrust is a must ;) ). I whole-heartedly and sincerely can say that this is by far the best hipthrust solution in my opinion (using barbells!) and worth the money. I go so far as to say, I wished this became a standard piece of equipment in all gyms, as much as having a back-roll. Please you guys, find a way to sell this across Europe somehow. The shipping and taxing fees on top of tge purchas proce, make it very expensive to get on my side if the world.

Excellent
I’m not sure how people aren’t giving this perfect reviews. It’s a pad, it spreads the weight of the bar across my hips, and I no longer have abrasions and bruising on my hips and pubic bone. Use it logo side up, and it curves as you use it. Far better than a rolled yoga mat or a trash foam roll.

Works... Not as good as day one
I'm not sure if it's supposed to work this way, but on day one, the middle started to collapse a little bit. Out of the box, it was very comfortable and it the padding was evenly distributed. Now the middle is caving in and it's not as comfortable. It's still more comfortable than a bar pad though.

Awesome!
I hesitated to buy this product mainly because of the high cost of shipping. However, I am not able to do hip thrusts due to pelvic and hip bone pain, so I decided to give it a try. I am happy to say that this is worth every penny! I now plan on incorporating hip thrusts into my workouts much more frequently. My husband was impressed with the pad as well. Thanks, Rogue!
